Dr. Kara Schuetz, Principal

Dr. Kara Schuetz serves as the Interim Principal of Capital City School
in addition to being the Coordinator of School Psychology for Topeka Public
Schools. She also oversees the district crisis team, transfer in department,
and compliance department.
Dr. Schuetz earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Benedictine
College in 2006. She went on to receive a master's degree and Educational
Specialist degree in School Psychology from Emporia State University in 2008
and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Kansas State University in 2020.
She finished a doctorate in Educational Leadership through the University of
Kansas in 2023.
Dr. Schuetz served as a School Psychologist in Topeka Public Schools for
ten years, Early Childhood Special Education Coordinator for three years, and
three years as the Coordinator of School Psychology.
Dan Bullock, Assistant Principal

With over two decades of dedicated service in education, Mr. Dan
Bullock proudly serves as the Assistant Principal of Capital City School. He
began his journey with Topeka Public Schools in 2000.
Over the years, Mr. Bullock has held various positions, starting
as a teacher at Randolph Elementary and Eisenhower Middle School, where he also
served as a Behavior Interventionist. His commitment to fostering student
growth led to a role as an Instructional Coach at Whitson Elementary before
advancing to Assistant Principal at Eisenhower. Since joining Capital City
School in 2018, Mr. Bullock has continued to make a positive impact on the
lives of students and the school community.
Mr. Bullock is also a devoted parent to two daughters. He enjoys
golfing, watching sports, and cherishing the moments of watching his daughters
grow and thrive. His personal and professional experiences deeply inform his
approach to education and leadership, emphasizing empathy, encouragement, and
lifelong learning.
Nicole Fraise, Building Administrative Intern

Nicole Fraise brings a decade of experience in education to her
role as Building Administrative Intern. She has a proven track record in
various educational settings, having taught college courses and high school
Spanish, as well as serving as a Dean of Students. Her passion for education is
further demonstrated by her work as a curriculum consultant for the past five
years.
Ms. Fraise holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Spelman College, a Master
of Science in Education from Iowa State University, and a Master of Arts in
Spanish from the University of Georgia. To enhance her leadership skills,
Nicole completed her Masters in Educational Leadership through the Topeka
Leadership Academy Cohort 6. This fall, she will cap off her academic journey
by earning her EdD from the George Washington University.
Ms. Fraise commitment to her students extends beyond the classroom. She has a
love for travel and has shared her adventures abroad with her students, taking
them on unforgettable experiences in Costa Rica and Panama. Her ability to
combine academic excellence with personal growth opportunities makes her a
dedicated and inspiring educator.
